Deposit Advice Mailing Reduction Initiative

Costs associated with mailing retirement benefit deposit advices to retirees on a monthly basis have skyrocketed. In an effort to cut operating costs, the FPPA Board of Directors have made a decision to reduce the printing and mailing of monthly deposit advices.

Beginning March 2012, receiving deposit advices in the mail will have the following options.

Option A

Deposit Advice Mailed ONLY When Net Amount Changes
Deposit advices will be mailed only in the event of a change in the net benefit amount.

This election may be changed at any time by submitting a new Deposit Advice Mailing Option Selection Form or by updating your election on the Member Account Portal (MAP) - see MAP info below.

No Monthly
Fee Charged
Option A is the default option and requires no action by the retiree. On March 2012, deposit advices will default to Option A unless one of the options below are selected on the Deposit Advice Mailing Option Selection Form or by updating your election on the Member Account Portal (MAP).

Option B

Deposit Advice Always Mailed
Retirees will be mailed a deposit advice and have a $3.00 Monthly Mailing Fee deducted from their pension benefit amount every month regardless if there is a change in the net benefit amount or not.

This election requires the Deposit Advice Mailing Option Selection Form be submitted or by updating your election on the Member Account Portal (MAP) - see MAP info below.
