Medical Advisor

This is a part-time position as an independent contractor.   Reviews the medical records submitted by the applicant and is responsible for selecting the appropriate panel of physicians to evaluate each applicant. Reviews the reports submitted by the IME physicians and prepares a plain language summary for the staff committee.   Makes recommendations to the committee concerning treatment plans or the reexamination of applicants.  May assist staff in recruiting physicians to conduct IMEs.  The Medical Advisor does not examine applicants or make disability determinations.
