Fire & Police Pension Association of Colorado Names Adam Franklin as Next Executive Director
Franklin has served as General Counsel since 2022
The Fire & Police Pension Association of Colorado (FPPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Franklin as Deputy Executive Director. FPPA's Board of Directors conducted an internal search, and after multiple candidate interviews, determined that Mr. Franklin was the best fit to achieve FPPA's mission and realize its vision. With this appointment, Franklin will assume the role of Executive Director on January 1, 2027.
Said FPPA Board Chair Jason Mantas, Battalion Chief, Poudre Fire Authority, “Mr. Franklin has built his career around strengthening public pensions and serving those who depend on them. His experience and commitment to FPPA’s Members made him the clear choice to lead the organization as Executive Director at the start of the new year.”
“Supporting Colorado’s first responders by helping safeguard their retirements is incredibly meaningful work,” said Franklin. “FPPA will continue delivering long-term retirement security for our Members and beneficiaries, and I look forward to leading the charge in this new role.”

Franklin will succeed current Executive Director Kevin B. Lindahl upon Lindahl’s retirement on December 31, 2026. Mr. Lindahl joined FPPA in 2000 as General Counsel, was appointed Deputy Executive Director in 2018, and has served as Executive Director since 2022.
Mr. Franklin grew up in Littleton, Colorado. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Cornell College before entering law school at the University of Denver. Prior to joining FPPA in 2022, Adam served as General Counsel at the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association. He also served as Executive Board Member, Vice President, and President of the National Association of Public Pension Attorneys. He lives in Centennial, is an avid golfer, and spends much of his free time with his two sons, Matthew (17) and Joey (15).
